Visit to Afurada
(We discovered this morning that we get free breakfasts with our room.... Took us long enough to figure that out.)
Dave and I took the ferry across the Douro River to the fishing village of Afurada.
Afurada is experiencing a population boom and I can understand why. We went for a long stroll on the beach boulevard. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

Then we treated ourselves to a fresh seafood meal. I had sardines right off the outside grill, Dave had prawns. Yum
Look, Dad, brain food
Back to Porto and the hotel. I decided that I wanted to climb the 240 stairs in the Torre dos Clerigo, Dave wasn't interested. I walk to the tower (40 minutes).
It cost 5 Euro and, man, what a circus... Narrow, steep, winding staircase, people going up and down.... Eeeek
Still very beautiful
I returned to the Hotel via the 200 bus, going in the correct direction. Yippee.
